ehc.com Guidelines on the Use of Outside Designers

As facility websites become more central to our marketing efforts, site redesigns are occurring more frequently. ehc.com wants to make sure that Web Site Administrators are fully aware of the resources available for site redesigns – at no additional cost to your facility.

Our award winning design team will create the professional and engaging website design that your customers and facility leadership expect. However, if you choose to use an outside design firm, you must consult with your ehc.com Account Manager and our in house designers before submitting any comps to ehc.com. This is important for you as many times outside designers are not familiar with the ICU website tool, creating designs that are incompatible or unmanageable.

We encourage you to use the design talents of our in-house design team because:

• These design services have already been paid for
• Compatibility of the design with the ICU is guaranteed
• The time to launch for your new site is much shorter than when using outside design services

Please note the following changes regarding the working relationship between ehc.com, Web Site Administrators and outside design agencies:

1. In general, ehc.com will not accept or use code provided by a third party. If ehc.com is requested to use code provided by a third party, it will be the responsibility of the Web Site Administrator to test and validate the code before implementation. ehc.com cannot guarantee the quality or functionality of code provided by third parties.

2. In general, ehc.com Account Managers and designers cannot manage the relationship between a Web Site Administrator and an outside design agency. Because we do not determine the financial arrangements or deliverables between an agency and a Web Site Administrator, we do not manage or oversee the agency’s work or work products.

3. ehc.com Account Managers and designers will only receive work products from third parties through an HCA Web Site Administrator or as coordinated by an HCA Web Site Administrator. This will ensure that products delivered to ehc.com meet the specifications and quality requirements determined by the Web Site Administrator.

4. ehc.com will test and provide quality assurance only on code developed by ehc.com. The testing and quality assurance of code, or functionality and designs that use code, provided by third parties are the responsibility of the third parties and the Web Site Administrator.
